Type of Encounter: Sounds heard

Sighting Details:
My cousin and I were sitting at the Doublekill Creek Basically on the border of New York state and the Wawayanda State Park. From the west we heard a long man-like howl immediately followed by a deep low resonating roar, like that of a lion. It almost sounded like a man being dragged loudly to his death by wood-chipper.

After a few minutes of seeing nothing we started to calm down again and just then about 15 feet away, what appeared to be a large bush or small tree with intense undergrowth started shaking and vibrating violently accompanied by the sound of cracking twigs and branches breaking. My cousin ran and I froze momentarily. I ran a few feet away and I turned and saw a grayish-black gorilla-like pointed head sticking through the leaves.

It wasn't until years later I heard this same sound on the internet. And one of my mother's neighbours says around the same time he saw a bigfoot walk right across his lawn.
