Type of Encounter: Sounds heard

Sighting Details:
On the night of March 12, 2007, I was out front of my house at around 11:35 at night. There is a wildlife preserve that runs from our neighborhood, clear down Route 9 towards Tuckerton. While I was out front, I heard a very, very strange animate sound. We regularly hear some loud trucks driving down route 9, but nothing like this. It was a mix of low groans and high pitched squeals and yells. They were moving much slower than a vehicle on Route 9, but they were moving at a slightly quicker pace than a human. The sounds progressed from north to south in the reserve. It was almost like it got spooked when it got too close to the residential border of the reserve and ran back into it.

Dogs were barking and they began too bark in sequence with the fleeing volume and pitch of the unknown animal. In other words, he was running down a wooded lane and the dogs started barking as it passed there house, in order. It was very weird. The tones were very strong and ranged in pitch something wicked. I was certainly intrigued and listened until they faded beyond earshot. I am hoping someone else heard these noises.
