Real Bigfoot or clever hoax?

Three men, including two Georgia residents who lead expeditions to track Bigfoot, claim to have found a Bigfoot and they're getting a DNA sample tested to prove it. The creature, reportedly more than 7 feet tall and weighing in at over 500 pounds, was apparently found dead in an undisclosed wilderness area of northern Georgia.

Enter Tom Biscardi, who arrived in Georgia to see the body and will be present at a press conference Friday when the truth is revealed. Biscardi is no stranger to Bigfoot capers, so let's remain on the alert here! Hey, is one of these guys publishing a book or something? I smell a marketing scam like Jeff Peckman's alien in the window! But I could be wrong.

Allegedly (important word there) scientists, unnamed of course, will examine the body and do DNA testing to confirm if the creature is in fact a sasquatch and not a hoax. Biscardi has apparently lined up a molecular biologist (though you'd wonder why someone of that caliber would be required), a paleontolgist (better), archeologist (uh, okay), and "other scientists" and Keep in mind that so far what we are hearing is coming only from Biscardi, the guys who found the "body," and Robert Burrows who is publicizing the news event. No scientists yet.

Look, I can understand the reason for some secrecy, but for crying out loud if this thing is really for real at least show us some more detailed photos of the corpse, not some long shot of a lump of fur with what could very well be a gorilla halloween mask plopped on top. This lack of close detail reaks of fraud if you ask me.

I have yet to connect to Cryptomundo for more information, but it is rumoured that the finders have been given "a couple million dollars" for the Sasquatch corpse. I'd hate to be the one to tick off that kind of big money, so this thing had better be real. Unless the finaciers are fabricated as well. That could very well be the case.

A photo of the creature looks rather phony, but then I've never seen a real Bigfoot, or a dead one for that matter, so I wouldn't know for sure. I remain prepared to eat my words.

This just in: Cryptomundo.com has finally loaded and I'm reading Loren Coleman's response to the story and photographs. Loren seems rather excited about the Bigfoot find and feels that this "may be the real deal!" Photos were released on August 12th, and Loren has several comparative photos at Cryptomundo, along with pics of the body that was found.

Hey, I'm all for solid evidence for the existence of Bigfoot, but I remain skeptical. Let's hope this is the real deal, too much of the phony baloney makes the whole Bigfoot legend smell bad.

Update:
Loren Coleman has adopted a skeptical position on the matter, citing the lacking line of evidence required for an accurate investigation. His thought: how do we really know where the DNA came from? Good point, Loren.
