Suspected Car Thief Transforms into Goat?

We know it can't happen right? I mean, if you just think about it for even a few moments — just exercise a few brain cells there for a minute, it doesn't take much — logic dictates that it is not possible. The human body is not physically capable of taking on the form of another animal. And if the obvious isn't enough, there's more, such a transformation has never been observed. NEVER!

The movies are cool. I can't begin to ramble off all of the films made about humans turning into other beasts. You've got the original Wolfman, then Dracula, he turned into a bat. The Cat People, that was a pretty cool flick. Amarican Werewolf in London is one of my favorites, but movies are the product of imagination, it is fantasy, fiction. It is not reality.

In 1692 innocent women were killed under suspicion of being witches, one alleged to have the ability to turn into a cat. Throughout history there are legends and lore galore of shape changing people. American Indians believe that certain of their tribes can take on the form of their animal spirit guides. More recently, tales of shapeshifting have turned up in connection with tales of Wisconsin's Beast of Bray Road, and the Michigan Dogmen.

It's painfully obvious that some among us have failed to advance any farther, mentally, than those who believed in witchcraft and shapeshifting over 200 years ago. In this day and age it seems incoprehensible that superstitions like this should persist, but they do, even in sufficiently advanced countries.

This recent tale of transformation takes the cake. In Kwara State, Nigeria, a man suspected of attempting to steal a car with his buddy was allegedly cornered after his friend managed to escape. So, according to a police spokesman Tunde Mohammed, "while one suspect escaped, the other transformed into a goat as he was about to be apprehended."

Why is there never a video camera running during such an event? Maybe the cops were too slow to apprehend either culprit and they made up this story as a cover, to avoid humiliation. Hmm, couldn't they come up with something better? If it was April First I would have gotten the joke, but this is just ridiculous.
